Julie Lauritzen is a writer, creative producer and photographer with cutting-edge expertise in printed matter, story telling and publishing.
Her artistic practice is project-based and immersed in topics that, amongst other themes, explore the human relationship with nature and society at large.
Through her various roles in the photographic industry, Julie has actively engaged as a producer and writer. By creating a common platform for public exchange of story telling, expertise and dissemination, the aim has been to strengthen relations and collaborations across genres and niches.
Julie has worked as a guest lecturer in photography at Ytre Art College in Ålesund, focusing on documentation of artworks and the development of photographic projects.
She has worked as a writer for the Norwegian magazine Fotografi, and as a curator of the academic program at Nordic Light Festival of Photography in Kristiansund.
In 2020, she founded Pressure Press, a small artist-run publishing house based at the intersection of art and activism, which produces experimental publications through interdisciplinary, artistic collaborations.
In 2021, she co-founded the interdiciplinary organisation JAM Collective along with Armelle Bruil and Marie Payan. In november 2024 they are organising the first ever Oslo Zine Fest at ROM for Kunst og Arkitektur.
